Frac sand
Sanjack has rich experience in Frac Sand. Fracturing sand is a high-strength, high permeability proppant specifically used for oil and gas well stimulation measures.
The main function is to enter and remain in the crack to prevent it from closing after pressure is released. This can ensure that oil and gas can flow into the wellbore through these cracks, thereby increasing the production of the well.
- According to different compositions and manufacturing processes, fracturing sand can be divided into natural sand, artificial ceramic sand, etc..
- Sanjack Fracturing sand has stable chemical properties and can withstand high temperatures, high pressures, and strong acid-base environments, ensuring long-term performance stability underground.
Fracturing sand has high hardness, high strength, high permeability, good sphericity, and uniform particle size distribution.
Types
The types of fracturing sand are usually classified according to their particle size, and different types of fracturing sand are suitable for different geological conditions and fracturing needs. Common types of fracturing sand include the following:
20/40 Mesh:
Particle size range: 0.425-0.85 millimeters.
Features: A commonly used model that is suitable for most conventional fracturing operations and has good crack support effect.
30/50 Mesh:
Particle size range: 0.3-0.6 millimeters.
Features: Used for fracturing operations that require finer particle sizes, suitable for medium pressure formations.
40/70 mesh:
Particle size range: 0.212-0.425 millimeters.
Features: Suitable for lower pressure formations, with finer particle size, it can better fill small cracks.
50/140 mesh:
Particle size range: 0.106-0.3 millimeters.
Features: Used for fracturing operations that require very fine particle sizes, suitable for low-permeability formations.
16/30 Mesh:
Particle size range: 0.6-1.18 millimeters.
Features: Suitable for high-pressure formations and fracturing operations that require larger particle sizes, with high compressive strength.
Distribution situation
As one of the world’s largest producers of fracking sand, the United States’ production areas are mainly concentrated in Texas, Oklahoma, and other regions, which have abundant high-purity quartz sand resources.
China’s fracturing sand production areas are mainly distributed in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Gansu and other regions, which have vast quartz sand deposits and have gradually become important global fracturing sand suppliers in recent years.
